Meet Sage, our founder and lead choreographer at IDA. At just 15 years old, she has already achieved remarkable success, earning eight titles and numerous first-place overall awards, along with leading roles in productions like the Nutcracker. Her journey into choreography began during a year-long recovery post ACL tear, which ultimately inspired the creation of IDA. Sage recently participated in Urbanity's contemporary intensive and was accepted into Urbanity's junior apprentice program. She is also excited to be participating in the Team Atlantic competition team and assisting at the Turn it Up Dance convention. With a passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive dance environment, Sage is dedicated to upholding high standards for both technique and creativity in every IDA dancer.

Meet our talented hip hop leader, Olivia, who brings over 12 years of dancing experience to our team. With a collection of overall awards and special judges' awards, her vibrant personality and captivating presence truly set her apart. Specializing in step and hip hop, Olivia has made a impact by leading the step team at Canton Middle School. She consistently shines at conventions, earning awards for excellence in hip hop.

Meet our talented young dancer, who, at just 12 years old, boasts an impressive 10 years of dance experience! With a passion for contemporary and modern styles, she has been a notable stand out at dance intensives including being recognized for overall excellence in all dance styles at the No Boundaries summer program. Her dedication has earned her two titles, emotional excellence awards, and numerous first-place overall awards for her solos and duets. As if that wasn't enough, she's also a standout soccer player on a national team, proving her versatility and talent both on and off the stage!

Meet our small but mighty tumbler who brings an impressive 9 years of dance experience to the team. With her dynamic facial expressions and fluidity, she truly embodies the essence of movement quality. Additionally, she has shone brightly on the Nutcracker stage for the past 2 years, showcasing her talent and dedication. She most recently was recognized for her excellence in jazz at the No Boundaries summer program. When not on the dance stage, she is on the cheer stage as a star flyer!

Introducing Marisa, our most versatile dancer excelling in a wide array of styles, from hip hop and modern to acro and tap. With 11 years of dance experience, her impressive flexibility and strong movement quality make her a leader in all dance styles. The last two years, she has performed in The Nutcracker, where she embraced numerous roles, including the lead flower and most recently named lead tea for the 2025 production. Marisa is always up for new experiences, most recently as part of Urbanity's teen program, Elite Dance studio and the No Boundaries summer program. 

Meet Kaia, our vibrant musical theater expert who brings the enchantment of Broadway to every performance. With a solid foundation in acting and singing and 12 years of dance experience, she is truly a triple threat. Whether she's leading a musical or competing in regional singing invitationals, Kaia shines bright on all stages, recently stealing the spotlight in Chicago as one of the five merry murderesses! From her early days as young Cosette in Les Misérables to her charming portrayal of Miss Honey in Matilda, her infectious energy and animated personality light up the stage! Kaia is excited to take the lead in our musical theater dances!

Meet Molly, an exceptional athlete who brings her unparalleled athleticism to the stage. She excels in every endeavor, mastering each piece of choreography with grace and precision. When she's not dancing, you'll find her showcasing her skills on a national soccer team. With a long list of dance overall awards and just as many soccer medals, Molly is a fierce competitor who holds high standards for herself and her team.

Gabby is an exceptional dancer who truly excels in every aspect of her craft. With her impressive turns, tilts, and leaps, she not only commands the stage as a soloist but also plays an essential role in our group performances. Gabby had her Nutcracker debut last year landing many roles including lead tea. She is excited to be back on the Nutcracker stage this year as Dew Drop. Gabby never backs down from a challenge often taking adult master classes in Boston and recently being recognized for her excellence in hip hop a the No Boundaries summer program. Her dedication to her craft is palpable and we are excited to see where her talent takes her next!
